Staff Profiles

Greg Manke, President

With almost four decades as a mason under his belt, owner Greg Manke has created hundreds of designs – and has seen them become a reality.  As a second-generation mason, Greg has gone from mixing mortar as a boy to designing innovative projects that range in scope from backyard barbecues to sports stadiums.  After an intensive internship with a retired master stone mason from Germany, Greg entered the profession armed with generations of knowledge and an eye for perfection.

Greg’s background provided the foundation for his rock-solid work ethic and his dedication to the heritage that comes with being a masonry craftsman.  His passion for the trade translates into works of art for the private homeowner, business owner, and builder.  Greg is happiest when he has a tough design challenge – the push to be innovative and create beautiful projects has kept him in love with the business from day one.  He has an extraordinary ability to work with discriminating clients and various materials.

Clients are repeatedly amazed at Greg’s ability to look at a space and design a project that is more creative, more innovative, and more beautiful than they originally thought possible. He provides personalized service to each and every one of Sundance Masonry’s clients, so no matter how big or small the project, you’ll benefit from his expertise and dedication to excellence.

When Greg isn’t designing and building with his team, he loves to spend time with his wife Kate and their two children and young granddaughter.  He also loves to play golf and guitar, and is an avid reader.

Kate Manke, Vice President

Kate Manke is Sundance Masonry’s first lady.  As the wife of owner Greg, she wears several hats in her job as Vice President.  As Operations Manager, Kate ensures that the day-to-day operations of the company run smoothly – projects are scheduled smartly, materials and tools are ordered efficiently, and staff members are where they need to be.  Kate also serves as the company’s Vice President of Marketing.  Her dedication to keeping the company operating with integrity is the foundation for the company’s image as the leading masonry contractor in the southern Colorado region.

Before working at Sundance Masonry for the last ten years, Kate was a midwife, and later on worked in the interior design industry for a unique bedding design company.   Her abilities to operate smoothly in stressful situations and her creative abilities make the perfect combination for Kate as she works to serve Sundance Masonry’s clients with integrity, warmth, and a keen sense of organization.

Originally from Minnesota, Kate has called Colorado home for over twenty years.  She and Greg enjoy living in Black Forest, and they love spending time with their children, Matt and Serena, and their granddaughter Brielle.  In her free time, Kate loves interior decorating, reading, and going to concerts. Her family and favorite pastimes give Kate plenty of material for her hobby as a photographer.

Dimas Hernandez, Field Supervisor

Dimas Hernandez has dedicated the last 14 years of his life to learning the ins and outs of being a top-notch mason.  His commitment to learning the trade and passing on his knowledge to his team has made him one of Sundance Masonry’s valued Field Supervisors.  For the last ten years with the company, Dimas’ ability to motivate his team through decisive leadership is unparalleled.

You’ll love seeing Dimas and his team in action. Taking their cues from owners Greg and Kate Manke, Dimas and his team are true professionals.   When he’s not working to build timeless projects, Dimas is spending time with his wife Claudia and their two children, Melissa and Eric.

Duane Herrman, Project Manager

Duanne Herrman is a Colorado native and a fourth generation mason.  With over 38 years of experience in the field, he is truly an expert at bringing your unique visions into reality.

Duane’s expertise is not only in the area of quality craftsmanship, but he is Sundance Masonry’s leader in safety practices.  Throughout his career he has served as Jobsite Safety Officer, Quality Control Officer, Layout Foreman, Crew Foreman, and Safety Community Member.  His commitment to safety leads his every action, and is infused into the leadership of his construction team.

Duane’s love for masonry is fueled by the remarkable creativity and devotion to service that the team at Sundance Masonry shows every day.  That devotion and commitment to safety shines as he leads his crew through residential and commercial projects, from patios and barbecues to a federal prison and the University of Denver’s Boettcher Auditorium.

Cindy Lamoureux, Office Manager

Cindy is the official front line for Sundance Masonry’s exceptional customer service.  Her ongoing interest in business and technology, combined with her extensive background in customer service, finances, and management make her the perfect addition to the team.  Cindy gained a great deal of her experience during the 12 years before she joined Sundance Masonry, when she was the Office Manager and Operations Coordinator for a local electrical contractor.

Cindy’s friendly demeanor provides each of our clients a warm welcome, and she’s committed to going the extra mile to help them achieve their goals.   When she isn’t serving our customers and running the show, Cindy likes to catch up with close friends and family, enjoy NASCAR races, and take long rides through the mountains on the back of her husband’s motorcycle.
